Alan signed for Pollok in November 2009 after a few seasons in Australia. He had
begun his career with St. Mirren before moving on to Third Division side Elgin
City where a bad knee injury curtailed his involvement with the Borough Briggs
side. Once he regained his fitness, he moved to Australia in the summer of 2007
and turned out for Stirling Lions for two years until he made a mid-season switch
to Armadale. After returning to Scotland, he joined up with Pollok.
