RAB SNEDDON and HARRY ERWIN TO LEAVE POLLOK FOOTBALL CLUB

The management team at last season's
Player of the Year function

It is with regret, the Officials of Pollok Football Club announce the resignation of Team Manager, Rab Sneddon and Assistant Manager, Harry Erwin.

Rab and Harry joined the Club in June 2004 and brought a period of sustained success to Newlandsfield, most notably winning the West Region Super League title twice, the West of Scotland Cup and the SJFA Super Cup once, together with other major trophies in the Junior game. In addition, in a season that saw the Club compete in the Scottish Cup for the first time in its history, the outgoing management team has steered the Club to a position of contesting the league championship and other major trophies, as season 2007/08 reaches a climax.

Both Rab and Harry have cited personal reasons for leaving and the Officials of the Club are first to recognise the difficult life balance that is required in collectively managing work, family and footballing commitments. Accordingly, the Club has, with much reluctance, accepted their resignations. The Club would like to pay tribute to both men and thank them for their outstanding contribution to bringing success to Pollok Football Club in the four years they have been in charge. Their commitment, professionalism and enthusiasm have been there for everyone to see and all at Pollok Football Club, Players, Officials, Committee and supporters, wish them all the very best for their futures.

Pollok Football Club will now actively seek to fill the vacant positions with immediate effect but is pleased to say that Rab Sneddon and Harry Erwin will continue in their roles at the Club until the end of the season or until suitable successors are found.
