THE POLLOK FC LOKTALK PODCAST A feature new to the website for November and beyond is the Pollok FC 'Loktalk' Podcast. It is something I have considered doing for some time and spurred on by another non-league club actually doing it, I've jumped on the bandwagon. I hope to bring supporters news and views from the club every weekend, as well as regular interviews with the key people at the club. And supporters will also be given the chance to have their say too - I'll be looking for supporters to speak to after matches to incorporate into the broadcast. So what is a podcast? Well, it's effectively a bit of internet radio that you can either 'stream' or 'download' though it is my intention to do as above and have them on You Tube so all the listener has to do is click the play button on the player. For the first edition, the following applies: Streaming means clicking on the link HERE and listening to the podcast on your internet browser. I DO NOT recommend doing this as it will not provide you with good quality. The alternative is to download the file, an mp3, to your computer, and you will be able to listen to the podcast as often as you wish on say Windows Media Player or Winamp. To download the file do the following: FIREFOX users: right click the word HERE and from the list of options that should appear, select 'Save Link As...' Give the file a name and then click 'save'. To play it back, remember where you saved it to (probably My Documents as default) and open up the file with your media player. INTERNET EXPLORER users: right click the word HERE and from the list of options that should appear, select 'Save Target As...' Give the file a name and then click 'save'. To play it back, remember where you saved it to (possibly Desktop as default) and open up the file with your media player. LOKTALK
Programme No 1 (Sun 9th Nov 2008) - Interviews with Chris Cruickshank, Calum Hardie,
Davie Turnbull and committee member Gordon Ritchie (running time
10m 40 sec) The quality is patchy but hopefully it will improve over time. |
