Joe began his career with Everton before spells with Stirling Albion, Airdrieonians and Queen of the South then Raith Rovers who he was playing with when he was involved in a severe car accident in October 2004 that left him with a fractured skull, collarbone and broken ribs. He then moved on to Forfar Athletic for a brief spell before signing with Stenhousemuir in August 2005. Programme Profile
After a number of seasons and one Player of the Year award, Andy quit Maryhill for Clyde in the summer of 1998, and stayed with the Bully Wee for over four seasons, before rejoining Maryhill early in 2003. His second spell at Lochburn came to an end following managerial changes at both 'Hill and Lok in 2004. He has made a big impression upon the Lok support and can be a hugely influential member of the midfield where in his role as vocal playmaker he makes the team tick. Billy McCormick had the tough job of filling Danny Hanley's gloves when the Lok No. 1 was injured in a cup tie in early 2002. Lok signed him from Larkhall Thistle and in the summer of 2002 he joined up with Lanark United.

Cultured central midfielder Martin McGarvey signed for Pollok in February 2008 from Beith Juniors but quit Lok after playing only one game to return to Beith. McGEOWN, David
Date of Birth: 6th January 1984
Position: Central Midfield
Glasgow-born David, a skilful box-to-box midfielder with deadly aerial prowess, spent five years as a professional on the books of SPL side Hearts, and made his debut aged 18 in a 4-1 defeat at home to Celtic. He spent the remainder of that season on loan at Stirling Albion. As with so many youngsters, his future lay away from the SPL and ended up in Australia with West State Premier League side Sorrento after leaving Tynecastle. When he returned to Scotland in October 2005, he signed for Alloa and put in a number of impressive appearances between then and the end of the season. He trained with Lok during the 2006-07 pre-season, but opted for a break from playing. After a few months out of the game by choice, he joined Lok as a free agent in December 2006.

Skilful young midfielder Martin started out with Pollok Juveniles U21 before going Senior with Stranraer in the summer of 2004. He found it difficult to break into the 1st team and had to be content with making the bench on a handful of occasions, though was never used. He signed up with Lok in time for the SJFA Supercup in July 2005 but was released in late October of that year and later joined Petershill.

McKEOWN, Brian

Highly versatile, hard-working and skilful Brian, who can comfortably play virtually anywhere bar up-front and in goal, joined Pollok from Beith in June 2007. He started off in Junior football with Renfrew after signing from St. Peter's Juveniles in 1999 and was a part of the squad that won the Scottish Junior Cup in 2001. He moved on to Arthurlie a year after that triumph, and he remained at Dunterlie for four seasons before quitting Dunterlie along with the rest of the squad in the summer of 2006. At that point he signed up with Auchinleck Talbot but, despite featuring in the 1st XI for the majority of his time at Beechwood, the move did not work out as planned and in January 2007 he was sold to Beith. Programme Profile

After starting his career with Neilston, veteran Martin enjoyed the peak of his career in the Scottish League after joining Queen's Park in 1996 from Kilsyth Rangers. He moved on to Forfar Athletic and then Clyde before spells at both Stranraer and Stenhousemuir in 2000-01. Bellshill-born Martin switched back to the Juniors with a move to first club Neilston in the summer of 2001 where he was top scorer in his only season at the Brig. Work commitments took him away from football for a year but he returned to the game with Lok in August 2003. A hard-working and popular player, Martin signed for Maryhill in January 2006.

Paul began his career with Queen's Park B.C., but signed for Lok from Rutherglen Glencairn in July 2001 and after a quiet first season has established himself as a first choice striker since the departure of Phil Cannie. Hard work over the 2002 close season turned him into one of Junior football's top scorers but a virus prematurely ended his 2003-04 season after only four months and he missed the whole of the following 2004-05 campaign.

'Marky' arrived at Pollok from Benburb, where he gave many years of service and was the club's youngest ever captain, and was signed by ex-boss Andy Dailly in 1998. Ever versatile Mark tends to play at full back or in midfield, and is a superb man marker. He was blighted by injuries though in later years and eventually moved onto the coaching staff in 2006.
