He began his career in the Juvenile ranks with Maryhill U21 before going Senior with Stirling Albion, who he was involved at 1st team level with for two seasons, in the 3rd and then 2nd Divisions. After leaving Stirling, he took a break from competitive football to play for a local pub amateur side in Maryhill before stepping up Junior in 2006. Anton | ![]() | Anton signed for Bellshill Athletic from Bellshill U21s during the 2002-03 season, and netted a handful of goals as that season wound down. He continued to put in impressive performances as Athletic won promotion to the Premier League, and he took part in a trial game for Ayr United in November 2004. Disaster struck though when he broke his leg in April 2005 against Larkhall Thistle, and the following season was spent building up his fitness at Newlandsfield. He describes himself as a left midfielder, but being quite two-footed he can and will play anywhere in the last third of the pitch. After a spell on trial, Anton signed for Lok in August 2006 but left the club within four months. | 2002-03:

Irvine-born striker Gavin signed for Pollok in July 2004 from Auchinleck Talbot. Gavin began his career with Queen of the South in 1995 having signed from Bonnyton Thistle B.C., though went Junior with Dalry Thistle the following season. Stranraer snapped him up in December 1996 and he went on to make 11 starts and 26 sub appearances, scoring once, with a spell farmed back out to Dalry in 1997-98. The move Junior did him the world of good when he signed for Talbot from Stranraer in 1999 and he was a prolific scorer in his five years (over 20 goals for 2003-04) at Beechwood Park. He made a trial appearance for Albion Rovers during his first season at Talbot. The kind of player who turns not-even-half-chances into goals. He left Lok in June 2006 for Ayr United. | 1994-95:
